How Nadi Astrology Approaches Travel Questions

This Nadi framework starts travel questions with three houses: the third for movement away from the familiar and shorter travel, the ninth for long journeys and journeys with a wider horizon, and the twelfth for distance from home or settlement away from the motherland. Together, 3-9-12 form the basic travel pattern.

That does not mean every 3-9-12 connection means the same journey. A local movement, a foreign study plan, a work assignment, a pilgrimage, and an emigration question have different purposes. The travel combination shows the movement layer; the purpose combination tells the reader what the movement is about.

For study travel, the method adds 2-4-5-9-11 to the basic 3-9-12 movement pattern. For a job assignment it adds 2-6-10-11; for business it adds 2-7-10-11; for tourism it adds the fifth; for a conference it adds 3-11; and for pilgrimage it looks to 3-12 or 9-12 with Jupiter or Venus.
